As the club fair creeps upon us, you might find yourself wondering which clubs to become involved with this year. You can make no mistake in joining Voices. Voices is the official newspaper of WT and here are 10 reasons why you should be part of it.
YOU CAN WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING! (with regards to the comforts and rights of others, of course)
We want the newspaper to be representative of the student voice and the best way to do this is let writers decide what they want to write about. If you have an interest or opinion you want to share with the world, Voices is a great place to get it out there.
VOICES IS LOW-COMMITMENT!
We meet every other week for no more than thirty minutes and we always send out recaps in case you’re too busy to make the meeting.
WE ARE THE GLUE TO OUR COMMUNITY!
No community is complete without journalism. At Voices, we keep the school updated on current school events and sports, pop culture, and anything and everything else.
YOU’LL BECOME A PUBLISHED JOURNALIST!
We publish every article on our website. If you write an article, when you search your name on the internet, it’ll pop up. Pretty cool.
WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN!
We try to cultivate a chill environment where everyone can share their ideas freely. That means that our meetings are often filled with laughter as we brainstorm ridiculous article ideas.
INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM IS JUST A SYNONYM FOR HOT GOSSIP!
WE HAVE THE BEST CLUB ADVISORS!
Star studded line up of Mrs. Sickler and Ms. Belfiore.
ANDREW IS OUR CO-EDITOR-IN-“CHEF”!
Andrew is always cooking us the most delicious cookies for our meetings. It’s a delicacy you don’t want to miss out on.
WE VALUE OUR WRITERS’ VOICES!
We want you to have fun and write great articles. So we’re always here if you need ideas for articles or need someone to take a look over your writing before it gets published. We will never reject any article.
IT’S GREAT EXPERIENCE!
I’ve learned so much through writing articles for Voices that I never would have learned. Being involved in the school newspaper will teach you how to write better, how to interview, how to make people laugh, and what you love most. I promise that you’ll find your place and thing at Voices.
I’ve been involved with Voices since my freshman year and absolutely adore it. I hope you, beloved reader, come to a meeting and see just how valuable your voice can be. If you have any questions just email me ([email protected]) or Andrew ([email protected]).
Happy club fairing!!!

From my completely unbiased perspective, this is a flawless argument and you should all join Voices immediately. And yes, there will be food (for those who write…)
