Going into the 2025 season, the WT boys’ lacrosse team had lots to improve upon. This year the boys’ lacrosse team welcomed the addition of over a dozen new players, many of which were freshmen who contributed to the team’s successes. The team enjoyed their first section win in three years which came against Allderdice in a close 8-7 victory. They also ended the season with an assertive win over Beaver, not to mention other wins which came throughout the season. Juniors Aiden Piemme (D), Evan Burns (M/A) and Spencer Amole (M/A) led the team as captains.
When asked about the team’s season this year, Evan Burns said: “Our team has grown incredibly tight and even though we struggled a bit this year we also had many successes.” The team is very young – it is mostly made up of underclassmen with only a handful of juniors (and no seniors) – and they should continue to improve and see more success in the coming seasons.
When asked about the team’s culture this year, John Koeppl (‘26) said: “We were the closest-knit team that I’ve ever been a part of.” The program’s promising future, strong leadership, young roster and great culture should set the team up for success in many seasons to come.
