Hard Candy, The Monologue Show (From Hell), and Check Please

I hope you’re all ready, because for a very limited time the One Acts are coming back to Winchester Thurston for not one, not three, but two very special days! This year, the One Acts will take place on the 19th and 20th of October and feature three hilarious short plays.

The first is Hard Candy by Johnathan Rand, which features a series of job interviews where the interviewees will try anything to get the job, and I mean anything. If you can think of something to get a job, it probably happened. The second is The Monologue Show (From Hell) by Don Zolidis, and is exactly what its title suggests: a monologue show that doesn’t go exactly as planned. If you’re looking for a great example of why you should never rely on angsty teens and criminals to stick to the script, this one’s for you. The third and final one act is Check Please, also written by Jonathan Rand, and features two people that just can’t catch a break on their blind dates. From a psychic to a politician that cares a little too much about gaining votes, each date is crazier than the last and is definitely something you need to see for yourself.

Directed by Mrs. Holmes and put on by the students of good ol’ WT, the One Acts are looking to be funnier and crazier than ever before, and you should definitely make sure you are free to see them, because it’s not something to miss.
