School Trips for the Summer of 2017

The school year has started, and summer is officially over. However, that hasn’t stopped students and faculty from planning for next summer. There are a few trips that different faculty members are taking students on during the spring and summer of 2017.

The first trip is the Israel trip, where students travel to the Children’s Village for two weeks over spring break. While they will working with the children in the village, they will also take tours and visit some of the best and most interesting sights that Israel has to offer. These sights have, in past years, included the Dead sea and the desert, where the students rode camels.

The next trip is to Cuba. While Cuba has been closed off to Americans for a long time, it is now open. The trip will be soon after school ends in June and will be anywhere from 7-10 days. The trip will include trips to museums, special places such as el Malecón, a large seawall in Cuba, and beaches.

The last trip is to Poland. This trip allows students to see key artifacts, buildings, and places from the Holocaust. Another special part about this trip is that students have been able to meet Holocaust survivors, which is great, as not many survivors are still alive today. The only catch to this interesting adventure is that 9th graders cannot go, on this particular trip. However, all of the trips offer exciting adventures that allow everyone to find something to enjoy!
