Classcapades: Mario Kart Wii

As many of us know, this year’s first Classcapades event was incredibly successful. For those who were not able to attend, the event took place in the auditorium, and four people from each grade battled against other grades to see who was a real speed demon when it came to Mario Kart. Overall, the sophomores showed us all that they were the true champions, while the Juniors and Seniors tied for second, and the Freshmen fell to last place. The event seemed to be very successful and enjoyable for both players and spectators.

Although I thought that the event was a success, I decided to interview Joey Scapellato, the Junior representative for Student Council, to get his take on what happened. He told me that he thought the event was very successful and that he got good feedback from many students. This was not surprising to me because everyone was cheering and shouting in delight during the event. He then told me that many people had expressed interest in doing this again, possibly with different video games. When asked if he would want to do this again, Joey said yes and that new and fun ideas for Classcapades are in progress.

Overall, it seems safe to say that we can expect some very cool and fun new events to occur in the near future. Student Council is working very hard to ensure that we can all enjoy school events and take a break from reading our textbooks and solving mathematical equations. For that and all of their hard work, we should thank the Student Council much more often!
