Students and faculty alike find themselves staring agape at Mr. Krause’s new haircut. He once paraded the halls with a majestic set of locks similiar to Jason Momoa. Now, everytime we see his shoulder length bob, we are faced with the harsh reminder of an inevitable reality: all good things must end.
Just like the trees must loose their leaves every year, and the seniors must graduate, it was time for Mr. Krause’s hair to be chopped off from existence. When asked for the reason of his new cut, Mr. Krause stated, “I wanted something light for the spring.” But this was really a way of him saying, “Please help me as I realize the brevity of life.”
Students don’t know if they can continue under these conditions. The bob is back and it symbolizes something none of us want to embrace. Time never stops. Change is inevitable. And life is too short just like Mr. Krause’s hair.
