Lets set the scene, lights, camera… Rapunzel? As students flooded into the gym for the social event of their fall 2025 lives they were met with the intense crossover of disney princesses and a pre-teens vision of a rave. Entering the chamber that we previously had known as WT’s gym our eyes were met with a complete transformation. Decorated from floor to ceiling the gym took on a tangled theme, complete with “floating” balloons that covered the floor. To enter into these new, state of the art renovations, students transcended through shimmering tinsel attached to each doorway. Fully equipped with the photo op of a lifetime many congregated around a poster of what ostensibly was to be the town from tangled. Unfortunately it was a limited time feature for it promptly fell to the ground at approximately 7:29, its scotch tape supports betraying the structural integrity. 

This dance was a brand new journey for a large portion of our highschool; the freshman. Seizing the moment, they busted out into intense moves across the dance floor and beyond. Truly a wonder to watch, these young members of our high school really brought the “wow” that has been so lacking in past dances. 

After a few brief dance circles and lots of awkward congregating WT students, like Rapunzel from her tower, yearned to be let free at the mere hour of 9:00 pm. A few attempting to make a break for it these deliquants were too visible in their Midnight magic Sequin lace Mini dresses from Windsor.com. Putting a quick stop to these ne’er-do-wells, Mother Gothel came bounding down the driveway, escorting students back to the makeshift holding pen the field had begun to serve as.

With another successful WT dance in the books students have been curious what winter formal has in store for them. Possibly another Disney theme? Here’s hoping for Moana on the Monongahela!
