With the loss of the toaster, many have been forced to rely upon the food of the new caterer, Elior. With the addition of the new food caterer, we’ve seen many of the old fan favorites. Chicken Nuggets and Mac n Cheese, Burgers, and of course, Breakfast. We’ve even seen improvements in the community time snacks, with things like Pumpkin bread, Cinnamon buns, and Pretzels.
We interviewed a couple of students to see their thoughts
Sophomore Ravi “The Eater” Stanger says, “It’s good, some days I wish it was something else, but it’s good, you know.” The Eater also praised the sweet potato fries and the inclusion of daily pizza. “So it’s nice,” he says. He complained that options have also been limited with the sudden removal of the toaster. Ravi rated the school lunch an 8/10.

Junior Aiko “The Weenie” Witten also agreed to give a statement. The Weenie said, “It’s delicious,” when asked about what she thought of the school lunch. She said her favorite thing the school had this year has “gotta be the nachos” and that her least favorite food was “the weird chicken legs”. Aiko rates the school lunch a 9.5/10

School lunch this year has been taken well by the students of Winchester. While there are some complaints, such as a middle schooler complaining about being limited to two apple juices, they are very limited, and it seems people have good things to say about it. If the toaster gets fixed, we may be looking at never-before-seen heights of Winchester Lunch. I deem Elior as better than last year.
